BJRS is approved for indexing in Scopus

2026-10-20

The Brazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences (BJRS) is pleased to announce that it was approved for indexing in Scopus in September 2026. Scopus is Elsevier’s abstract and citation database, one of the largest curated sources of peer-reviewed literature in the world.

Approval follows a review by the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB), an independent group of experts. The board assesses journals on editorial policy, the quality and consistency of published content, scientific relevance, international reach, and regularity of publication. Approval recognizes the commitment of BJRS and the Brazilian Society for Radiation Protection (SBPR) to scientific quality and good editorial practice.

Indexing in Scopus gives the articles published in BJRS more visibility and makes them easier to discover. The journal’s citations will be tracked and its impact measured with the database’s metrics, including CiteScore and SJR. For authors, it means wider international reach for their research. It is also an added incentive to submit work on radiation protection, dosimetry, nuclear and medical physics, and the radiation sciences in general.

This adds to the journal’s recent approval for the SciELO Brazil Collection and its listing in DOAJ. Together they strengthen BJRS’s place as a reference in the field in Brazil and abroad.

The Editorial Board thanks the authors, reviewers, editors, readers and partners whose work and trust made this possible. BJRS remains open access and free for readers, and we invite the scientific community to keep submitting manuscripts.
